Bout time the heavy got a real Russian hat.
As if Jarate wasn’t classless enough, Valve is doing a “class” style update over the next couple of days for EIGHTEEN NEW HATS and some community maps – but no class updates. Maybe some tweaks to the game overall (like removing the Demoman), but [...]
Also, sorry for the lack of updates. Probably won’t be able to post as frequently as before due to certain circumstances. I know all four of you that read this are really bummed.
While I think Gabe should stop giving these types of interviews and pretending to be some kind of obtuse Buddah-esque developer demigod and work on Half-Life: Episode 3, I do find it intriguing that he would suggest such a thing:
One of the areas that I am super interested in right now [...]
So when you decide the game sucks three years down the road, you’ll be able to stare at it forever, and ever, and ever. Some other perks like in game items and crap, but more importantly beta access. Oh, and the collector’s edition gets a special “Disco” emote. Crazy asians.
Valve is apparently going to have a presence at Comic-Con in some fashion, promising to show off this new campaign, “Swamp Fever” and some of the “20+ new items in Left 4 Dead 2″. The game is also supposed to be playable on the floor there.

Grappling hook? Check.
I’m not a game designer, and it’s probably for the best that I play games and don’t bother making them. But if I was a game designer, I’d want my game to be like my first taste of Trine. Had it not been for the demo blurb in Steam’s [...]
Here is a fix for the Steam version of Oblivion – replace the Oblivion executable with this one, and you can run mods that require Oblivion Script Extender with no issues.
Edit: Valve has actually released a fixed OBSE loader that works with Steam. Fantastic gesture from both Valve and Bethesda, I think.
