Just a heads up – Darkfall sucks. Even their billing system sucks – I preordered and could login, but still cancel my preorder, so I was never really charged.

Well, the European launch date for Darkfall Online is official, and while no North American date has been announced, something is better than nothing, right? January 22nd, 2009. Not bad. I’ll believe it when I see it, though. According to this MMORPG interview…. MMORPG.com: There is a great deal of confusion surrounding Darkfall’s beta and release schedule. Could you clarify any of this for us? Tasos Flambouras: We’ve been trying to get our partners up to speed and there will be an official statement in the next few days announcing a release date for the [...] On the heels of yesterday’s beta tester quote post, an Italian MMO site has released a “review” of their time with Darkfall. It’s basically a few screenshots and a summary of each screenshot, but this, combined with the actual in game shots of – gasp, character interaction, one can assume that Darkfall may indeed exist. [...] Darkfall, which I’m almost sure is all but the biggest troll in internet history, has been in development since 2001. The game itself, if haven’t heard, is looked at as one of the “holy grails” of MMO games – free form, factionless PvP, skill based character progression, real time combat, etc. The devs recently started [...] “The more they promise, the harder they fall.” Such may be the case with Darkfall Online.
