I write for Loot Ninja, you can find stuff I write here.

The Mothership Connection

Anal probes?

Having just gotten back into the Fallout 3 mood, I’ve been slowing playing through the game with Broken Steel.  I’ve been happy with most of the content so far – even the linear, Call of Duty like Operation Anchorage.  If there is one thing Bethesda knows, its immersive, first [...]

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Mods

Just a heads up, I just finished on a monsterous 7 page post of Oblivion mods.  I didn’t spell check it yet, and there might still be some errors, but you can check it out here, or use the link at the top of the page.  I play to do one for Fallout 3 soon, [...]

Fallout 3 for $25

On Steam, of course.  Fantastic time to pick it up if you have yet to play it.  Fallout 3 is one of those games that will get you $50 worth of entertainment and then some, for $25 it’s a real no brainer.

Bethesda buys Carmack, THQ restructures, Mark Jacobs steps down

Jesus fuck, and it’s not even noon yet (okay, it wasn’t when I started writing this shit.)

Holy fuck:

June 24, 2009 (Rockville, MD) – ZeniMax Media Inc., parent company of noted game publisher Bethesda Softworks, today announced it has completed the acquisition of legendary game studio, id Software, creators of world-renowned games such as DOOM, QUAKE, [...]

Oblivion Steam fix for Mods

Here is a fix for the Steam version of Oblivion – replace the Oblivion executable with this one, and you can run mods that require Oblivion Script Extender with no issues.

Edit: Valve has actually released a fixed OBSE loader that works with Steam.  Fantastic gesture from both Valve and Bethesda, I think.

Oblivion and Morrowind coming to Steam

It might have been pulled, but at least I got the f'in screenshot!

Oddly enough, I can’t really source this aside from the entry in my feedreader – but Steam claims Bethesda games will be coming to Steam this week.  Bethesda hasn’t released a press release just yet, but I managed [...]

BRINK detailed a bit more, gets some screenshots

Gears of – what?

BRINK, Bethesda and Splash Damages’ new project, has been detailed a bit more:

The story:

A man-made floating city called the Ark, made up of hundreds of separate floating islands, is on the brink of all-out civil war. Originally built as an experimental self-sufficient and [...]

Fallout 3 Point Lookout – sure is pretty Deliverance up here

Looks spooky.  Supposedly more open ended than The Pitt, Anchorage, or Broken Steel.

Bethesda and Splash Damage’s new game: Brink

Watch it in HD, although there isn’t much to see, really.  Splash Damage is of Quake Wars: Enemy Territory fame (unforunately), and Bethesda… well, let’s just say Brink will be Bethesda’s first Sci-Fi game.  Assuming this game is indeed Sci-Fi.

What is interesting here is that Bethesda is a single player game company – I don’t [...]

Bethesda sappin’ my wallet

SO IMMERSIVE DAWG

Well, it was bound to happen, but Bethesda made their plans for two more DLC packs official today.  Even nicer of them, they’ve decided to let PS3 owners buy the DLC too:

We are pleased to announce that Fallout® 3 downloadable content (DLC) is coming to PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. We [...]
