The two largest groups of European nerds, Nihilum and Curse, have effectively cleared all the PvE raid content the not-even-week-old Wrath of the Lich King has to offer (not including content updates, etc.)
Now, keep in mind that the previous expansion, The Burning Cruasde, saw a “world first” PvE encounter after about a month of being released - hardly the entire amount of content cleared, no attunements, no gear checks.
As I said before, these are the sweatiest, fattest, most socially inept nerds in all of the World of Warcraft, but it must be rather disheartening to accomplish all of an expansion’s $39 worth in a mere matter of days.
I particularly like this quote:
Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters? Or is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game raiders?
Probably a little of both, judging by the loot table. Although, PROTIP: Blizzard folded under the weight of the large casual player base way before Wrath.
