I must say that ever since I started watching It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia a few years back, I’ve been impressed with the show. This season, however, has been on an entirely different level of ridiculousness and hilarity. All five of the main characters have started to grow into themselves, each with their own quirks and personality traits that define hilarious satire sitcoms like Seinfeld or Curb. I’m happy that FX has signed this show for a while, as it’s probably one of the best shows to come out in a long, long time.
To be honest, I didn’t even think True Blood would make it past this season (at least on my TV schedule), but it turned out to be a pretty good show. Hell, it’s no Buffy, but it has given me a reason to continue paying for HBO for something other than Curb. It turned out to be smart and surprisingly good in the end, so I’m curious to see where this show goes next season.
South Park finished up it’s second half of the season with a pretty solid bunch of episodes. While some people chastise it for being formula-tic and tired, I think South Park is still one of the funniest and relevant cartoons on TV. I mean, let’s face it – no other show can crank out episodes as quick as Trey and Matt can, so the episodes always stay fresh and relevant. Plus, Randy Marsh episodes are the best thing, ever. And there were two this time.
